Beginning in the 22-23 school year, Safari Montage is no longer available for use in BCPS.
Direct Linking
Locate and open a media asset or a Playlist you've created. (Ensure that you have selected the appropriate grade level for the content that you are searching.)
Click on the Perm-link icon to copy the Permanent Link to the media asset. You can obtain a Permanent link to a Full Video, Chapter, Segment or a Playlist you've created.
Remember to include a Title using this format: Media Asset Title - Safari
When a permanent link is clicked, playback begins immediately after the BCPS user logs into Safari Montage.
Overview
SAFARI Montage is a video streaming library and media repository that provides schools with access to videos and other digital media assets for grades K-8 or 9-12. This content is produced by prominent educational publishers such as PBS, Weston Woods, the History Channel, Reading Rainbow and the Biography Channel. In addition to these curated packages, the Office of Digital Safety, Educational Technology, and Library Media can upload digital content created by C & I offices and curriculum writers to Safari Montage; see the Educator Resources section below for details.
Target Audience: Grades K-12 (K-8 video packages in Elementary/Middle Schools; 9-12 video packages in High Schools)
