Teachers and students must be logged into their BCPS Office 365 account when accessing online Microsoft tools for use with BCPS related work.

Microsoft Teams is a robust collaboration platform with many useful features that facilitate and organize group communication. Teams includes conversation channels, ongoing chats, online video calling and screen sharing, online meeting scheduling and facilitation, integrated OneNote notebooks, and shared document storage through OneDrive. Teams is available through an Internet browser and an installed app for Windows devices.

Getting Started with Microsoft Teams
BCPS users have two options for accessing Microsoft Teams. Windows users can access Microsoft tools through the desktop version installed on the device. Chromebook and Windows users can access the online version of Microsoft Teams via Microsoft Online, which is accessible to BCPS teachers and students from your device, phone or via the online version at teams.microsoft.com.

Considerations for BCPS:
Microsoft Teams is available to BCPS teachers and students; however, it is important to note that Google Meet continues to be the online meeting platform used for synchronous instruction with students.
Student service providers have received explicit direction for using Teams in certain situations with students based on their support needs.
