Scratch & ScratchJr
Overview
Grade levels: All Grades
Scratch 3.0 and ScratchJr are coding platforms based on Blockly and specifically designed for young learners. Scratch is recommended for grades 3 and above while ScratchJr offers a simplified interface for non-readers and grades 2 and below.
Access: Both programs are available for Chromebook installation through the BCPS Google Play Store. Scratch and a ScratchJr simulator are also available for Windows installation through Intune. Additionally, Scratch is available online at http://scratch.mit.edu. Students must not create Scratch accounts.
