Digital Content Snapshots and Support Pages
Introduction to Digital Content
BCPS invests significant funds annually for subscriptions to digital content aligned to national and state learning standards to support BCPS content curricula. Digital content provides equitable resources for high quality instruction and promotes information, media, and technology literacy.
BCPS-licensed digital content includes a variety of media formats to engage learners and address our students' diverse learning styles: eBooks, audio, video, multimedia, images, interactive content, games, simulations, and more.
Unlike many sources freely available on the Internet, subscription-based digital content is reliable, authoritative, age appropriate, frequently updated, ad-free, and includes a variety of learning supports to support students' needs, including: audio read-aloud of text; embedded dictionaries; translators; citation tools; Lexiles/reading levels, and more.
Direct linking directions/ information for individual databases are provided at the top of that database’s page. Please see this News HUB article for information about digital tools that have been discontinued for the 24-25 school year.
Username and password information for BCPS staff and students can be found on the BCPS Digital Content Access Page.
